END OF HUMAN RACE 2

Every news channel in the world has been telecasting the same news from the morning. Prince Rudolf Island in Franz Joseph land of Russia became very popular in a single day. Intelligence agencies, army and media people from almost every country were in the island or near the island outside the Russian border waiting for permission to get in. The reason was the new space ship that was spotted in Prince Rudolf Island. Nobody knew where it came from, until the natives in that island and NASA’s satellite found it. For the first time after World War 2, American and Russian armies worked together. The army surrounded the space ship completely and Air force planes were also swiveling around ready to launch an attack at any minute.

After an hour, the first alien walked out of the spaceship. Media people were standing at a very long distance, focusing the first alien space ship on earth. Many were sitting in their homes watching it on TV, while others partying in clubs to welcome aliens to earth. While the door of the space ship opened and first alien came out, army troops surrounding the space ship steadied themselves to fire at any moment, media people adjusted focus on their camera lens to get a closer view of the alien, people in clubs were cheering to welcome the first alien to earth. The alien just looked like human being and was wearing a face mask that was connected to a gas cylinder. It had 2 legs, 2 hands and the body shape was just like a human. As soon as he came out, the chopper hovering above the spaceship dropped a glass cabin on the alien. The glass cabin sealed it inside and the chopper carried the cabin.

The alien was carried to a temporary research lab about 5 miles from the location. Army people were standing there too, surrounding the temporary lab. In front of the room were a lot of scientists waiting eagerly. The local temperature was -15°C and was snowing heavily; everyone there was fully covered from head to toe, to avoid possible infection and cold weather. The chopper arrived there soon and dropped the cabin gently inside the temporary lab. As soon as the cabin was dropped, scientists rushed inside. They found that the alien was standing inside banging on the glass trying to get out. They assumed that the alien has to be safe inside since he was wearing gas mask and should have enough gas in his gas cylinder to breath. The automatic arm inside the cabin removed alien’s dress, to check his body. The scientists tested the alien for about half an hour and they found that the results were astounding. They confirmed that this alien was from a planet similar to earth except for a little variation in weather and atmosphere. His skin had a lot of wrinkles and his lung was completely ruptured. By testing his body, scientists found out that though their planet was similar to earth and they breathed oxygen, their atmosphere contained lot of other gases and their star emitted lot of harmful radiations. By testing the contents of his stomach, they found that these aliens artificially made their food, which was rich in minerals. Initially they assumed that this artificially made food must have been used by this creature while space travel. But they later confirmed that the creature had travelled less than 4 hours in space, so their space ship should have been much faster than the speed of light and the food was consumed before the creature got into the space ship.

After all tests were done on the alien and the space ship, a crew of scientists from all countries decided to send the alien back to its planet. They arrived at this decision based on the infections in its body. The alien had lot of micro organisms similar to bacteria and viruses in its body, which scientists feared could spread rapidly and destroy life on earth. Another group of scientists also analyzed the space ship and couldn’t come up with any conclusions on it. They couldn’t even understand the operating mechanism of the space ship. The alien was taken back in the glass cabin to his spaceship and an android robot was used to push the alien back into its space ship. As soon as the android pushed the alien back into its space ship, air force planes started bombing around the space ship to threaten it and make it leave earth, back to its planet. The alien started its spaceship and before leaving earth, it just threw a small piece of something that was about the size of human forefinger, after which the space ship disappeared immediately.

Scientists analyzed the particle for about an hour. Initially they thought it was a weapon and tested it for microorganisms, micro weapons etc, but later they found out that it was USB drive that would fit in all the computers. There was a video inside and they assumed it should be a video about their planet and played it immediately. The video showed the atmosphere of the planet initially, it was similar to earth, except for the dark color. The atmosphere was dark due to smoke and other dust particles. From their tests, scientists already found creatures in that planet breathed oxygen similar to the species on earth. From the video, scientists could also see that there were no other animals in that planet except for the one that looked like humans. After showing the atmosphere, the video focused on the only living species in that planet. It was really surprising to see that the species living in that planet resembled humans in their life style. After that, the video focused on something that looked like a digital calendar and it read, 21^st August, 2132. At the end, a guy started talking. Hi, this is Aaron; I am a guy from the future. As you can see, life on earth is going to come to an end because of us. It was me who came there using my time machine. I just travelled to the past to see if there is a solution that can prevent our race from extinction. The video ended there and everybody in the room kept looking at each other expecting someone to speak.

End of human race

"I was thinking about how human race would come to an end. There are millions of disasters surrounding us that could explode at anytime. I was thinking about one of them. A Creature which chases another for food is called predator and which runs for life is prey.A Creature also dominates another for territory. Until recently humans thought that they were in control of the whole world, which was almost right. Most of the living beings cant dominate humans. There are some which can do so, which can make man run for his life, micro organisms. It really happened, when a deadly form of micro organism launched a planned attack on humans. It is called nano-spider. Though nano spiders existed from the past, their existence was unknown to humans. These nano spiders dominated an island near south America, unknown to humans because of its very tiny area. In millions of years of evolution, they developed their own technology and did their own inventions like humans. The real problem started when these creatures found that there are similar islands like their own, beyond the ocean. (this concept is similar to human beings searching for planets similar to earth in outer space).

They found means to travel through the ocean and reach the nearest islands, which are wollaston islands in chile. That was the beginning of the end of human race. Humans started to get a terrible form of disease, which started with lung infection, slowly pierced the lungs and killed a human in about 48 hours. It was really hard to detect the source of infection. Finally a scientist named Kohlberg found out that it was a micro organism. Unlike bacterias and viruses, these microorganisms made their own shelter in which they lived and they used their own tools (invented by them) to attack humans. The tool was about 18 nanometers, about twice their size. Their shaped looked like that of a spider. Dr.Kohlberg died in 2 days, due to the infection ,after finding about nanospider. Millions were killed in days and the figures rose to billions in months. In 4 months, only less than a million humans were left alive on earth.

Myself along with a group of scientists moved to a dungeon underground. The only weakness that these nano spiders had was darkness, they had visionary sense similar to humans, other than that even change of temperature did not affect them. I heard last few humans hid in dark caves with as much food as they could collect,I learnt about this when I received an email from a friend of mine. We carried almost all research equipment including electron microscopes with us.We sent our nanobots with their cameras outside to learn about this organism. Though this organism attacked humans, they didn't harm any other bird or animal. So these nanobots were safe for now.

After I learnt about these organisms from nanobots(a robot with a size of 10^-9 meters), I knew we were fighting a losing battle. These organisms,divided among themselves into groups and devised their own attack strategies. Their groups consisted of fighters, workers and scientists. They were also working towards creating a separate group called entertainers. Their scientists knew that we(humans) were dominating the earth and were developing antibiotics to kill microorganisms. So the only reason for their attack on humans is to dominate the earth. we were a bit relieved and happy to know that our nanobots were safe. But our happiness didn't last long. Their scientists found out about our nanobots and all our nanobots were destroyed in the last 2 days. I believe they found our location through the signal transmitted by nanobots. Now we have got a warning signal about their invasion inside our dungeon from the sensors outside, yes their scientists have invented a way to attack in the darkness. Our race is at the verge of destruction, you people out there are our only hope. Please don't come back until you find a way to destroy this creature."

Mike wiped of the tears from his eyes, and looked at today's date (12/1/2032) ,as he read this mail for 100th time in the last few years. He called his space crew scientists and asked them the monthly report about yoctobot (a robot that is 10^-24 meters). He had extended their crew's stay to 20 more years in the space station without informing the reason. they ate astigs, a form of fungus which contained all essential minerals, proteins and vitamins. Atigs grew in sunlight and so food was constantly available to them. He punched his fist on the table as he received the failure report for the 12th time in yoctobot test run.
